1     Ecological Agriculture
Start Date:- 2008-01-01 00:00:00
Project Description
There are over 13 million smallholders farmers in Ethiopia with an average cultivated area of less than one hectare. Together with the local experts and administration, ISD is promoting ecological agriculture based on local inputs, particularly compost, and improved natural resources management to raise crop yields for local food security, and improve ecosystem services for farmers, their families and local communities. The aim is also to identify means to support farmers to adapt and build resilience to climate change, encourage innovator farmers and means for scaling up good practices.
